The health and safety of St Brides Spa Hotel's staff, community and guests are of paramount importance to us. We have reviewed our hotel operations, implementing extensive health and safety guidelines and re-trained our team, to ensure that St Brides Spa Hotel can welcome all of our loyal, past and new guests to our luxury but Covid-19 safe hotel.
The Thermal Suite and Hydrotherapy Pool in our Marine Spa remains closed until further Welsh Government restrictions are relaxed.
We are monitoring the latest government and industry guidelines and are continually reviewing our procedures and risk assessment. Before making a reservation, we would recommend that you view the current protocols and measures we have in place, in accordance with government restrictions.

Reservations must only consist of a maximum of 6 people from your extended household (under 11's are exempt).
If you or any household member are displaying any symptoms of Covid-19 (these include, but are not limited to, a high temperature, a new and persistent cough and loss of taste and smell) we would politely ask you to postpone your stay for the safety of our staff, local community and other guests. If your stay has already been booked please don’t hesitate to call us, where we would be happy to change your booking.
We also strongly recommend you to download the government approved track and trace app to ensure that we are all alerted to any guests who may pose a risk of spreading Covid-19.
If you have any specific requirements and needs during your stay with us, please do try and inform us prior to your arrival so we can make the necessary preparations.
Where and if your county face a local lockdown, we ask guests to call and arrange with the reservations team to cancel or postpone their reservation. We have discretion to refuse admission to people from areas with higher cases of coronavirus.
We have introduced an online application to allow for you to check-in up to 48 hours before arrival to allow for a faster and reduced contact experience at check-in. Details will be given on your booking confirmation on how to do this.
If you or any household member are displaying any symptoms of Covid-19 (these include, but are not limited to, a high temperature, a new and persistent cough and loss of taste and smell) we politely ask you not to enter the building.
Guests will all use a designated entrance and will be asked to have their temperature taken by the thermal imaging camera. If any temperature recorded is >37.8 degrees Celsius then the guest will be declined access to the premises.
We kindly ask that guests do not arrive at reception until 3pm to check in. This is so that our Housekeeping Team have their full allotted time to implement the additional cleaning standards for our guests safety.
A Perspex screen has been installed on the reception desk and new signage will be displayed throughout the hotel explaining our new safety guidelines. Hand sanitising stations will be placed at hotel entrances and key areas of the hotel, so we politely ask you to sanitise before entering the hotel.
We do ask where possible guests should present a card as opposed to cash. Guests key cards to their room will be sanitised before being placed into an envelope and handed to the guest. During these times we have been advised against handling and storing of any luggage for ambulant guests. This goes against our nature of providing our guests with a high standard of etiquette, should guests require any assistance with familiarising themselves with their room or amenities we ask them to call reception where a member of staff will be delighted to assist.
We ask all guests to download the NHS COVID-19 Track & Trace app and check in upon arrival using the QR code situated at reception.
We have further enhanced our cleaning procedures to include extensive cleaning of high touch areas and shared surfaces throughout the day.
We do ask our guests to remember and try to practise personal distancing whenever moving throughout the hotel and communicating with members of staff.
Guests are required to adopt a face covering whilst moving through public areas of the hotel.
Hand sanitising stations will be positioned in our key public areas along with appropriate signage, we ask guests to use these whenever entering and moving around the building.
We would like to encourage our residential guests to use the stairs as opposed to the lift. Where guests do use the lift we ask that it is only used by the same household members and hands are sanitised before entering. Additional regular sanitation of the lift will be practised by our staff.
Every bedroom and bathroom will be fully ventilated, cleaned and disinfected vigorously following each stay. We have made sure that all cleaning equipment and products used are in line and adhere to WHO recommendations.
All members of the housekeeping team have been trained on how to best use these. We have identified 10 high touch areas in our rooms which will receive significant attention when cleaning the room. All of our housekeeping team members will adopt the appropriate items of PPE before accessing each room.
All linen and towels will be safely removed from the room and washed professionally on a high heat using sanitising solution. Any printed and non-essential items will be removed from guest rooms to avoid any cross contamination.
Our room directory will now be available to view online. Where guests may need any additional amenities, we ask that they phone reception as opposed to visiting the reception desk.
Guests will find a seal placed on their door which they will need to break on access, this is to demonstrate that no one has accessed their room since finalising our strict sanitation process.
On entering their rooms, guests will find a welcome letter containing the following;
- Up to date information regarding personal distancing
- Current policies and procedures in the hotel
- Information regarding dinner and breakfast services.
We will not be offering our Turn Down Service in the evenings and daily servicing by our housekeeping team will be available upon request only. Should you require this service we ask that guests vacate their rooms and all personal items to be stored away. We would like to avoid persons entering a guests room as much as possible during their stay.
We are fortunate to have spacious and breath-taking areas for dining both inside and outside, we have also extended our dining spaces to include our function spaces. From the 3rd August we are offering our guests safe and socially distanced dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner in The Cliff Restaurant, The Gallery, The Sun Lounge and our Cliff Terrace Areas.
Breakfast will be available from 7-10.30 and we will be offering a full cooked breakfast as well as a continental selection. For dinner we will be serving a complimentary amuse bouche appetiser followed by a choice for mains and desserts. We will be offering a reduced menu but still ensuring the finest Pembrokeshire produce and locally landed fish will feature as well as vegetarian and vegan options.
Dining times must be booked in advance, including breakfast to allow for social distancing and so that we are able to record and complete track and trace information for the NHS. We suggest booking your desired times prior to arrival to avoid disappointment. All guests must adhere to their booking time to avoid too many people in the area at any one time.
Guests are not required to wear a face covering in our Cliff Restaurant or Gallery Bar & Lounge although they must be worn whilst moving through public areas.
We ask that all guests sanitise their hands and wait on entrance for a member of staff to show them through to the restaurant and to their table.
We will not be offering drinks at the Gallery Bar; instead we will offer a full table service.
All bookings must only consist of a maximum of six people from the extended household until further notice.
From 24th September following the new Welsh government announcement, all alcoholic beverages from the Gallery bar must be ordered before 10.00pm and all guests must have then vacated our public areas by 10.20pm.
If guests choose to have room service, we ask guests to call reception and leave their tray outside the door to avoid any staff members having to enter their room.
Booking is essential for all non-resident guests visiting our Cliff Restaurant and Gallery Bar as our capacity is limited to allow for social distancing.
Non-resident guests will be asked to have their temperature taken by the thermal imaging camera on arrival. We also ask guests to download the NHS COVID-19 Track & Trace app and check in upon arrival using the QR code situated at reception.
Currently our Thermal Suite, Hydrotherapy Pool and relaxation rooms remain closed until further social distancing restrictions have been lifted and guidance is available to safely operate our Thermal Suite.
Although we are delighted that we now have the opportunity to reopen our Marine Spa for Selected Treatments from Friday 2nd October. Before booking your treatment we would recommend that you view the current protocols and measures we have in place here.

All guests wishing to use our Fitness Suite will be required to collect a key at reception.
We ask all guests to sanitise their hands before entering the facilities, using the hand sanitiser provided.
Sanitising wipes will be provided in the fitness suite and guests must sanitise all equipment before and after use.
When guests are finished using the facilities guests are required to check-out at reception so we can keep track of the capacity and make sure that the room is sanitised after each use.
Every Apartment will be fully ventilated, cleaned and disinfected following each stay.
We have made sure that all cleaning equipment and products used are in line and adhere to WHO recommendations. All members of the housekeeping team have been trained on how to best use these.
We have identified 10 high touch areas in our apartments which will receive significant attention when cleaning the rooms.
All of our housekeeping team members will adopt the appropriate items of PPE before accessing each room.
All linen and towels will be put in a sealed plastic bag and washed professionally on a high heat using sanitising solution.
Any non-essential items will be removed from the apartments to avoid any cross contamination.
We will provide additional cleaning items in the apartments and we ask that during your stay you keep them as clean and sanitised after each use. We will also provide a sufficient amount of hand soap for your to use during your stay.
We will kindly ask you to do the following on vacating the apartment;
-Wash all used crockery and utensils through the dishwasher at a high temperature
-Please strip all bedding.
-Any towels used are placed into the bath along with the stripped bedding and linen.
-Any personal items are taken with you or disposed of. This includes any items of food that has been purchased and stored in the Apartment during a stay.
On the morning of departure all bills will be emailed to guests. If this is not suitable then a printed copy of the bill can be arranged to be delivered to our guests room.
We ask guests to respond to the email to confirm payment can be taken from the card provided at check in.
We ask guests to inform reception when they are departing for our Housekeeping Team to make preparations to the room for our next arrival. We ask that guests leave their key cards in the room to avoid unnecessary contact at the reception desk.
On vacating the hotel we encourage guests to re-test their temperature.
All our members of staff have undergone comprehensive hospitality training on how to protect themselves, our community and our guests from the transmission of COVID-19.
Staff will all use a designated staff entrance and will be asked to have their temperature taken by the thermal imaging camera. If any temperature recorded is >37.8 degrees Celsius then the member of staff will be declined access to the premises.
Staff will be adopting a face covering whilst on shift.
We have a stringent procedure in place if a staff member should report any sickness or COVID-19 symptoms displayed by themselves or any household member. Any staff member who displays any symptoms will be sent home immediately and will be supported by the company as they follow the appropriate self-isolation period.
Staff will be required to best practise hand washing and sanitising throughout their working shift. To encourage this we have multiple hand sanitising stations and signage throughout the back of house, kitchen and office areas.
All departments have been re-arranged so that each person can adhere to the personal distancing measures. Our team members have also been trained on how to apply and remove the appropriate items of PPE.
