Description

A Chef de Partie’s primary role is to oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in their section. Duties associated with this role including directing chefs in their section in preparing, cooking, and presenting culinary dishes; enforcing strict health and hygiene standards in the kitchen; and trouble-shooting any problems that may arise.

Main Duties

  • As Chef de Partie your main responsibilities will include:
  • Taking responsibility for your section in the kitchen
  • Work under direction and supervision of Executive Chef and Sous Chef
  • Supervise the Commis Chefs in the kitchen
  • Ensure planning and preparation for service is completed
  • Prepare dishes to the highest quality and standards
  • Comply with all relevant Health & Safety and Food Safety Standards.

Person Specification

  • Experience as Demi Chef de Partie
  • Good organisational skills and ability to multi task
  • Have the ability to cope under pressure
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good team player, flexible and enthusiastic
  • Passion for food.
